Domestic Violence – Criminal Restraint
Domestic Violence – Criminal Restraint
A person is guilty of criminal restraint if he or she restrains another person thereby exposing that person to bodily injury or if he or she holds another person for involuntary servitude. Criminal restraint can happen quickly or can occur over an extended period of time. It is a fairly serious charge and happens in extreme cases of domestic violence.
If you are experiencing this type of restraint or violence, please reach out for help from the police or other family and friends.
